Rock The House Auditions 2012

With another year of growth we face another year of expanding our staff. This year, we took a cue from some of the more popular reality shows for our auditions!

Hosted at Cleveland’s House of Blues, hopeful MCs, DJs, and Dancers went through the first stage of our tryouts with full-time managers, dance captains, and support teams watching, testing, and asking many questions.

We were VERY pleased with the turnout and excited to see that there are many in Cleveland very interested in working for Rock The House clients on events in the future. This was only the first stage, however. Those that made the fist cut were asked to come to the Rock The House headquarters to learn more about the company and meet more of our team. This session was more hands-on and targeted qualities like teamwork,  passion, and customer service skills.

We have some great new talent this year who will be working hand in hand with our senior MCs, DJs, and Dancers. Let us know what type of event entertainment you need for your upcoming Wedding, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, Corporate Event or Fundraiser!

Rock The House Wins Two CBC CCA Awards in 2012

On March 7th, 2012, CBC Magazine put on a remarkable networking and awards event – The Fifth Annual Connector’s Choice Awards at the The House of Blues. This event is one that all of us at Rock The House look forward to each year. In fact, this year, we had a group of 18 in attendance!

Presented by Cleveland Business Connects (CBC) magazine, the Connectors Choice Awards (CCA) is an annual awards presentation that is dedicated to recognizing the best and brightest individuals and groups that represent the local corporate event-planning industry as well as the professional networking community. The Rock The House team was excited and humbled to have won both the Best Audio Visual Technical Support Company for the 3rd year in a row as well as Best Entertainment Company. We know that the driving force of the voting was spear-headed by our clients and friends. That fact is what makes this award really special to the entire team.

Rock The House Founder/Owner, Matt Radicelli says:

“After a few years of being nominated for awards like these, its beginning to feel like we’re a boxer defending our titles.  The most amazing part to me, however, is that although we have to do quality work to get nominated, it’s the customers and fans that drive home the awards for us.”

We believe that winning this award three years in a row for Best Technical Support Company is very significant. It says that through consistent growth, we have emerged as one of the most sought after production company in Northeast Ohio due to our creativity and track record of executing magnificent events.

That said, winning the award for Best Entertainment Company is something that is really close to our hearts. After growing beyond the label of being exclusively a “DJ Company”, Entertainment is still a true passion of ours. Winning this award is proof that even though we have evolved as a company, our commitment to producing exciting and fun events remains the same.

Besides our elation at winning two awards at this event, we also felt that this evening itself was expertly put together.  Everyone involved did a fantastic job.  The House of Blues and CBC have grown this event each year by creating something people really look forward to. The food was incredible and was only made better by fantastic service staff members. Sharing the night with all of our partners, customers and friends in one place, makes for a very efficient networking and introducing potential business partnerships, which we in Cleveland really enjoy.  Matt Radicelli says:

“The Connectors Choice Awards is one of the few opportunities we have each year to network with hundreds of our favorite event professionals and partners.  I believe that CBC does a great job producing the event, and House of Blues is the perfect location!”

Once again, we would like to thank everyone who voted for us and we expect this year to be even more exciting.

High School ROCK Off

2009 was a great year for Rock The House and Live Nation. On both Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends, we brought The Rock The House Party Pavilion to both The 18th Annual Marc’s Great American Rib Cook-Off & Music Festival and Taste of Cleveland.

Rock The House started 2010 off with a Bang as well when Barry Gable from Live Nation requested our presence at the 2010 Tri-C High School Rock Off. Throughout the months of January and February, 19 of North-Eastern Ohio’s up-and-coming musicians came together to put on live performances at The House of Blues.

At Rock The House, we believe strongly in music education and loved supporting these talented young musical groups.

Jeff Kutz, our VP of Sales and Headlining Entertainer says:

I was overwhelmed by how gifted the young performers were. These high-schoolers represent one of the most talented groups of musicians I have ever seen live. I loved working and emceeing the event. Working with sponsors such as Live Nation, Kiss FM, Tri-C, Ohio Natural Gas and House of Blues was a thrill and an honor.

At the event finale on February 7, Maddie Finn won the grand prize and also was named the first female- fronted band to ever to win The High School Rock-Off.
