Welcome Travis!

Meet Our New Client Coordinator

Rock The House Entertainment Group continues to grow! Our new full-time team member is Travis Rose. Born in Concord, Ohio (where he still resides), Travis is a graduate of Bowling Green State University from the class of 2008. Formally the Director of Student Activities at Lake Erie College, he has been instrumental in event development and logistics for the school. Travis loves an environment of learning and he plans to do just that with Rock The House.

“I’m excited to join a company filled with experts in event production and entertainment”, says Travis. “I have a winner’s attitude when I take on any challenge and I feel like I’ve been given the tools to win at Rock The House”. Travis is easy going as well as detail oriented. These traits will be perfect for the position of client coordinator. He will become intimately involved with the specifics of each event making sure that our process is easy for the customer as well implemented smoothly for our production and entertainment staff. He’s excited at the prospect of working with our clients to develop their visions and create truly unique events.

City of Oakwood Village Summer Camp

DJ Camp Begins with Rock The House

June 19, 2012 was the first day of the City of Oakwood Village‘s DJ Bootcamp with Rock The House Entertainment. Our full-time entertainment lead, Eli, is teaching a group of 9 to 12 year olds from Oakwood Village the basics of DJing for a live event. Every week, the students who signed up for this camp will learn techniques Rock The House DJs use at each event. We were thrilled with this group because each attendee had a real interest in DJing. They had a great passion for music and were really paying attention. Often, with kids of this age, you would expect them to be looking at their cellphones but they came to really learn.

Eli instructed the students how to work as a team by matching sound levels. He also gave them a new perspective on DJ equipment. They began to understand that the DJ rig is more like an instrument than just an iPod and speakers. They picked that up when they had to transition between songs and monitor their levels. Graduates of this program will go on to DJ the camp’s August 10th Dance for all the students participating in the various activities provided by Oakwood Village. We were happy to help Mayor Gary V Gottschalk when he asked us to participate in this summer camp. Our company loves our community and being able to give back while also sparking passion in potential future entertainers is the perfect way to show it.

RTH Gives Back – 2012 Solon Relay For Life

18 Hours Running on Hope

Rock The House’s RTH Gives Back Program is dedicated to enhancing our community with our unique skills and assets. There are a wide variety of worthy causes that we give time and resources to because we love our community and we want it to be as strong as it can be.

Once again, Rock The House has provided MCs, sound equipment/production, and entertainment to the Solon Relay For Life. Over $42,000 was raised over the 18 hours of festivities that started on Friday, June 8th and continued straight through to Saturday, June 9th at 11:00 AM! Survivors between the ages of 8 and 80 were on-hand to celebrate with friends and family their success of beating cancer. It really gave hope to all who attended that a cure is possible with more research and money.

Our MCs and dancers were on hand to guide the event through every hour. In addition to keeping the flow of the event moving, Rock The House called on it’s many years experience creating and running games where everyone can be involved. 18 hours is a long time to party but we made it happen! We want to really applaud our team’s efforts because involvement in this event was purely voluntary on their part. When we say we have a commitment to our community we mean EVERYONE! The company gave it’s resources and equipment but these individuals gave up their time (very willingly) and its that level of commitment that makes us proud.

Wedding Lighting at Shaker Heights Country Club

Wedding Reception Teamwork

When Kirkbrides Wedding Planning calls, we answer! Kirkbrides put together an AMAZING team for this Shaker Heights Country Club wedding reception. It’s such a pleasure to work with other professionals at the top of their game. No aspect of this wedding wasn’t absolutely fantastic. You could instantly tell that every detail was thought of which lead to a smooth and very FUN party.

As the lighting professionals on this event, it was our task to create the client’s unique vision for this already breath-taking venue ballroom. This couple was looking for a effect that was beyond just uplighting. Our uplights helped wash the room in their specific colors but it was our on-site lighting designer who created an experience that paired with the live band’s performance. Jerry Bruno Production’s “The Orchestra” coordinated their set list with our lighting designer in an effort that took full advantage of the their strengths.

2012 has already been an amazing year for Rock The House. We have won a number of awards for our services and our customer service in events that took place in 2011. Between the growth our company has been experiencing and the accolades we have received, we are incredibly proud of our team and clients.

So far, in 2012, we have received:

Cleveland Event Lighting Production Creates a Prom to Remember

Cleveland Lighting DJs at The Renaissance rock out for Brecksville/Broadview Heights in downtown Cleveland. The Rock The House DJ / MC team brought unparalleled entertainment to B/BH’s prom.  Our DJs are trained to read the crowd and have a musical expertise that could keep you moving all night! These guys know music of all kinds and they knew what this group of high schoolers would dance to. Our Emcee had every student on the floor for hours!  There were no wall flowers in Cleveland on this night.  They coordinated with all the other prom professionals to make a special evening. They ensured that everyone was able to relax and get loose for this event.

School dances are a Rock The House specialty.  Our Emcee proclaimed the Prom Court, King, and Queen.  The royal party then was led to dance by the King and Queen. Rock The House green screen Photo Magic provided photo novelties for the students to take home.  Funny hats, glasses, etc. were given to the students to make as goofy a photo as they wanted! Cleveland DJs Rock Lindsay’s Bat Mitzvah

Cleveland DJs celebrate a Pajama Themed Bat Mitzvah

Cleveland Bar/Bat Mitzvah DJs Rock The House helped Lindsay celebrate the special occasion at the Solon Community Center.  The Rock The House DJ / MC team brought unparalleled entertainment to Lindsay’s event. Our DJs are trained to read the crowd and have music knowledge that would make your head spin! These guys LOVE music of all kinds and they knew what this group would react to. Our Emcee was a true master of ceremonies in every sense of the word.  Even though everyone was in pajamas, no one was ready to go to sleep and let this party die down!

To make sure everyone is having the most fun possible, our Party Motivators made sure everyone had the best time on the dance floor. Our dancers are a group with unprecedented skills.  Graffiti Rock was also a big hit with all the kids at the party.  The photo technician first took a picture, then featured it on a big screen were you could “spray paint” over and change the picture however you wanted!  It was a truly great addition to an already stellar party.

Eric Got Rocked at Barley House with our Event Lighting!

Our DJs ROCKED at Barley House

AJ’s Bar Mitzvah at Barley House in Beachwood, Ohio was an exciting one! The Rock The House DJ / MC team brought entertainment to all guests with one of the most fun packages – The Video Dance Party. The Rock The House Video Dance Party brings another element to the dance floor. It gives our DJs the ability to play music videos of the songs being played as well as the chance to put the excitement of the night’s dance floor on the big screen.

To make sure everyone is having the most fun possible, our Party Motivators made sure everyone had the best time on the dance floor. Our dancers are a group with unprecedented skills. When they are moving on the dance floor...the guests took pictures! Another trick we have are our novelties. Nothing gets our dancing guests excited like light-up hats, sunglasses, and more.

Each guest had the opportunity to leave the event with our Green Screen Photo Magic framed photo. AJ and his family were able to choose their own custom backgrounds for photos available all evening.

Beachwood’s Prom Rocks All Night with our Lighting
