Award Winning Corporate Event Entertainment

Rock The House is really excited to come back from Columbus to our office in Cleveland with our ISES Wow Award for Best Meeting or Conference over 100K. Rock The House was nominated for State Chemical‘s 100th Anniversary Conference and Events from November 2011.

Watch this video to see highlights from our ISES WOW win in Columbus, Ohio:

The State Chemical Anniversary weekend had a lot of components and involved every division of the company. In addition to the Videography division’s many important contributions, the lighting division was all over this event! Creating effects in a variety of rooms in two different divisions, this event had a large-scale production feel without overwhelming the guests. Uplightsgobo company logos, stage lighting, and pin spotting were all being controlled by our lighting designer who was orchestrating the atmosphere. The DJ / MC Entertainment and Photo Booth Divisions also played big roles in this grand affair. One highlight of the event was this Glee themed opening session video:

When Asked to Participate – We Said: I Do!

March 24th, 2012 was an important day for marriage equality supporters in Ohio. The state’s largest mass “illegal” wedding took place at The Galleria at Erieview. Prior to the over 200 couples who were married, there was a massive rally on the stairs of the Cleveland City Hall. Politicians, activists, and allies were on-hand to sign petitions, register to vote, share stories, and support each other.

A variety of news sources covered the event including The Advocate, The Plain Dealer, ABC Cleveland, and WTAM.

Rock The House selected to provide the support of sound production as well as playlists of music before and after the ceremonies at The Galleria. The organizers of the event wanted to involve the very best Ohio Wedding Professionals and we were on their list.

Lake Erie Monsters Pink The Rink 2012

Rock The House enjoys a great partnership with The Lake Erie Monsters and the annual Pink The Rink event is yearly highlight of that relationship. Each year, The Lake Erie Monsters Hockey team raises awareness as well as money for cancer research. Quicken Loans Arena was awash in pink-clad hockey fans ready for a great time and we are proud to have helped.

Rock The House dancers had a great time with many of the kids attending the game. Our Rock The House stage on The Q concourse had dozens of kids of all ages dancing, singing, and having a great time between periods of the game. Our DJs, MCs, and dancers were able to both have fun and show off their skills. For instance, check out this video of Ernie:

Another reason everyone at Rock The House looks forward to Pink The Rink is that the entire team is welcome to attend the event with their families. We had over 100 tickets and that’s one big group!  One of our sections was even on the scoreboard. Here’s a picture of Matt and Ryan that 1000’s saw live at the game.

Rock The House also was retweeted on the scoreboard from this tweet:

@igotrocked: @tweetqtube The best hockey fight is when The Monsters fight cancer! #PinkTheRink

This event is for such a great cause and we are really excited to have been asked to help. If your next event is looking for that something special to bring it to the next level, give us a call.

Karmin Got ROCKED!

The hot Pop duo of Karmin came to Cleveland as part of their Radio Tour to promote their upcoming album “Hello” in April 2012. The group came to 96.5 KISS FM Studios to perform for a select group of lucky fans.

This duo has blown up relatively quickly with exposure through Ellen, reddit, and YouTube. This engaged team has recently been signed to Epic Records for a soon to be released full-length album. The most exposure they have ever received was a recent appearance as the musical guests on Saturday Night Live.

Rock The House enjoys our relationship with KISS FM Cleveland, especially when we can provide lighting, sound, video, and production services to this Clear Channel Radio Station for their in-house performances.

Rock The House Auditions 2012

With another year of growth we face another year of expanding our staff. This year, we took a cue from some of the more popular reality shows for our auditions!

Hosted at Cleveland’s House of Blues, hopeful MCs, DJs, and Dancers went through the first stage of our tryouts with full-time managers, dance captains, and support teams watching, testing, and asking many questions.

We were VERY pleased with the turnout and excited to see that there are many in Cleveland very interested in working for Rock The House clients on events in the future. This was only the first stage, however. Those that made the fist cut were asked to come to the Rock The House headquarters to learn more about the company and meet more of our team. This session was more hands-on and targeted qualities like teamwork,  passion, and customer service skills.

We have some great new talent this year who will be working hand in hand with our senior MCs, DJs, and Dancers. Let us know what type of event entertainment you need for your upcoming Wedding, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, Corporate Event or Fundraiser!

Congratulations to Chardon High School!

Chardon KISS FM Prom High School

Your friends and families have voted you in as the first winner of Rock Your Prom. We couldn’t be more impressed with how the community has come out in support of Chardon. This story is getting bigger every hour.

Make sure to check out our Rock Your Prom Hub Page for up to the minute information on the planning process and execution of Chardon’s Mega Prom!

We Know Ernie Can Dance!

We couldn’t be more proud of our extraordinary dancer, Ernie. We know he’s one of the best we’ve seen. His natural talent is something you have to see to believe. Ernie, however, keeps pushing himself to get better and to take his talent to the next level. He did just that on March 2nd and 3rd when he auditioned for “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 9 in Los Angeles.

Cleveland Mitzvah DJs Season 9

Ernie was actually the first person in line at 5:30 AM the day before the auditions began. He did not have the opportunity to dance until 10:00 PM the next day. How amazing is that? He brings that same level of dedication to each event he works on for Rock The House, so this feat comes as no surprise to us. Out of the 500 dancers who auditioned in Los Angeles, Ernie made it to the top 20.

Once Ernie made it past the first round, it was a whirlwind of activities without stop for the next 48 hours. Photoshoots, video loops, and interviews about his life story all took place back to back. His second audition is where he knew he had to do something to stick out from the pack of other hip-hop dancers. He showed them stunt dancing like they had never seen including running the length of the wall where “So You Think You Can Dance” was written. This immediately excited the judges.

With one hour of sleep, jet-lag, and (most disappointingly) a knee injury (from the photoshoot of all places) his last audition didn’t go as well as the previous two did. Every judge loved not only his story but his attitude as well.

Everyone at Rock The House is incredibly proud of Ernie. He is one of our most requested dancers and a big favorite of guests. Ernie told us this was only his second audition of his life after the audition that earned him a spot on the Rock The House dance team. Los Angeles will not be his last. Season 10 will have one amazing talent auditioning next year.

Rock Your Prom 2012 – Cleveland’s Best DJ / MC Team

Our first Rock Your Prom campaign has been a big success. We couldn’t be happier with the result of attention this has received due, in large part, to our partner 96.5 KISS FM Cleveland. KISS FM was the best type of partner we could ask for and we are excited to expand our already great relationship. We would also like to thank American Commodore Tuxedos for sponsoring this promotion. They had the insight to get on board for the first year of this and we’re hoping students take advantage of their services.

The winner will be announced Wednesday, March 14. We would like to thank everyone who voted and organized other voters.

We will be posting the big announcement very soon!

Rock The House Wins Two CBC CCA Awards in 2012

On March 7th, 2012, CBC Magazine put on a remarkable networking and awards event – The Fifth Annual Connector’s Choice Awards at the The House of Blues. This event is one that all of us at Rock The House look forward to each year. In fact, this year, we had a group of 18 in attendance!

Presented by Cleveland Business Connects (CBC) magazine, the Connectors Choice Awards (CCA) is an annual awards presentation that is dedicated to recognizing the best and brightest individuals and groups that represent the local corporate event-planning industry as well as the professional networking community. The Rock The House team was excited and humbled to have won both the Best Audio Visual Technical Support Company for the 3rd year in a row as well as Best Entertainment Company. We know that the driving force of the voting was spear-headed by our clients and friends. That fact is what makes this award really special to the entire team.

Rock The House Founder/Owner, Matt Radicelli says:

“After a few years of being nominated for awards like these, its beginning to feel like we’re a boxer defending our titles.  The most amazing part to me, however, is that although we have to do quality work to get nominated, it’s the customers and fans that drive home the awards for us.”

We believe that winning this award three years in a row for Best Technical Support Company is very significant. It says that through consistent growth, we have emerged as one of the most sought after production company in Northeast Ohio due to our creativity and track record of executing magnificent events.

That said, winning the award for Best Entertainment Company is something that is really close to our hearts. After growing beyond the label of being exclusively a “DJ Company”, Entertainment is still a true passion of ours. Winning this award is proof that even though we have evolved as a company, our commitment to producing exciting and fun events remains the same.

Besides our elation at winning two awards at this event, we also felt that this evening itself was expertly put together.  Everyone involved did a fantastic job.  The House of Blues and CBC have grown this event each year by creating something people really look forward to. The food was incredible and was only made better by fantastic service staff members. Sharing the night with all of our partners, customers and friends in one place, makes for a very efficient networking and introducing potential business partnerships, which we in Cleveland really enjoy.  Matt Radicelli says:

“The Connectors Choice Awards is one of the few opportunities we have each year to network with hundreds of our favorite event professionals and partners.  I believe that CBC does a great job producing the event, and House of Blues is the perfect location!”

Once again, we would like to thank everyone who voted for us and we expect this year to be even more exciting.
