Marriage Equality Rally & Mass Wedding

March 24th, 2012 was an important day for marriage equality supporters in Ohio. The state’s largest mass “illegal” wedding took place at The Galleria at Erieview. Prior to the over 200 couples who were married, there was a massive rally on the stairs of the Cleveland City Hall. Politicians, activists, and allies were on-hand to sign petitions, register to vote, share stories, and support each other.

A variety of news sources covered the event including The Advocate, The Plain Dealer, ABC Cleveland, and WTAM.

Rock The House selected to provide the support of sound production as well as playlists of music before and after the ceremonies at The Galleria. The organizers of the event wanted to involve the very best Ohio Wedding Professionals and we were on their list.

Cleveland Event Lighting at The Sarah Benedict House

Cleveland Lighting DJs, Rock The House, were honored to be chosen as the lighting designers on December 15, 2011 by Personal Touch by Covesa event planners. This event was held at the historic Sarah Benedict House in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. The event’s goal was to show the venue off to prospective clients for event space rental. Along with Rock The House, a small number of select preferred event professionals were asked to participate in this showcase.

Rock The House was able to create a custom look for this event through lighting design. Our uplights throughout the building created a really warm look for guests. In addition to the lighting design inside the facility, we were also able to create a visually interesting look on the facade of the building as well. Since the event took place in December, we were decided to project a snowflake design on the building with our gobos.

ISES Cleveland – Jewish Wedding Trends Podcast

On Tuesday, November 8, 2011 the Cleveland chapter of ISES (International Special Events Society) hosted an informative event at Temple Emanu El entitled: “Jewish Wedding Trends“. Rock The House team members were on-hand to learn from authorities on Jewish customs and event trends in the community. Rabbi Steven Denker explained why certain rituals are observed and their origins while conducting a mock wedding ceremony at the Temple.

Renee Higer and Eileen Benson informed the group what modern Jewish brides are looking for in a ceremony and reception while keeping it fun and interesting. ISES Cleveland conducted a live tweeting session during the event from their Twitter feed (@ISESCleveland). In addition, Rock The House recorded the event as a Podcast.

Another Great Simchapalooza

Cleveland’s Premier Event Planning Expo

Wow! We had an exciting day at Signature of Solon this past Sunday at Simchapalooza 2011. Party 411 and The Cleveland Jewish News did a great job creating and advertising this event and Rock The House was honored to be involved. As the presenting sponsor, we had a few responsibilities that made us feel more at home because we were helping produce the event as well.

There were a number of deals and discounts on services available for our DJ entertainment, lighting production, photo booths, and much more.  The talk of the event, however, was all of our new extra entertainment products. The excitement came not only from the products newness, but also because guests had the opportunity to try them out first hand at Simchapalooza! Below are a few of the most talked about products that those present were able to interact with:

Graffiti Rock! Digital Graffiti Wall - A RTH team member takes a photo of you and your friends and wirelessly uploads the photo to a giant projection screen. Here’s where it gets fun…you and your friends then get to use our spray can remotes to digitally draw on your photos! Once your graffiti image is made, we print your photo with a custom border and can e-mail your photo to you or anyone else.

Avatar: Digital Caricature – We now offer digital caricature artist and softwarepackages. At Simcahpalooza, we proved just how much fun it can be to watch these drawings created on a large screen, not only for the person being drawn, but everyone else in the room. Using an iPad to create the faces and a large verticalplasma monitor, everyone is part of the fun! Once completed, these images can beshared with your friends via Facebook, Twitter, or e-mailed to a person of your choice.

LED Ping Pong Tables- There were some competitive ping pong players this year at Simchapalooza! What brought them out was our new custom ping pong table the likes of which guests had not seen. With slow pulsing LED lights and ping pong balls embedded in the table, this game can now be the centerpiece for your next event.

Cleveland Lighting DJs at 700 Beta Center Mayfield Heights

700 Beta got Rocked!

Cleveland wedding DJs from Rock The House Entertainment helped host a reception at the 700 Beta Center located in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. This venue is very unique for creative and fun wedding receptions. The DJs provided music and MC services. RTH also provided wedding lighting services for the celebration. Wedding Photo Booth Rental at Signature of Solon

The best wedding DJs in Cleveland helped host a great event at the Signature of Solon. The best wedding DJs provided a green screen photo booth and scrapbook for the couple to take home the photos and memories. Wedding DJs and Photo Booth at Comfort Inn and Suites

Cleveland’s wedding DJs helped host a wedding at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Mentor, Ohio. The wedding DJs provided music and MC services for the wedding. The DJs also provided a custom green screen wedding photo booth. A prop shop for the photo booth was also provided by the DJs.
