The Oakwood Village-based company has now won three times in the entertainer category and four times in the corporate event production category.“Our busiest year to date, Rock The House brought 1,800 custom events to life in 2015,” Amy Van Duyne, Executive Assistant to the CEO, said, “Our team of event producers and designers, talented party motivators, club-style DJs, dynamic emcee hosts, and our RTH Live! band created heartfelt and energetic experiences for corporate and social clients. Each event was completely unique and incredibly entertaining.”

Did You Know: When asked, most guests say that the thing they remember most about a wedding is the entertainment.
Imagine this: brides and grooms put so much thought into everything from decor to desserts. All of that effort could all be dismissed if the wedding music leaves much to the imagination. That’s why we have classic wedding music that is proven to get people on their feet, celebrating the bride and groom.
Just like the color scheme, the concept and the flowers, the playlist at a wedding has the ability add personality to any given dance party. Before you choose to go totally off the beaten path with your playlist, consider some classic favorites as part of the celebratory night.
Below, our team has pulled together a list of wedding music that has never, ever gone out of style.
Are there any songs we missed? Sound off on our facebook page!
We loved the 2016 Today’s Bride January bridal shows at The John S. Knight Center and Cleveland’s IX Center! The energy level at every show was beyond contagious. From attendees to exhibitors, everyone genuinely wanted to be there (us especially)! Our team had a blast participating in the shows and meeting hundreds of newly engaged couples from the Cleveland, Akron, Canton and surrounding areas.
At this year’s’ fashion show, Rock The House’s own DJ Flightz and MC Nick Duvé kept the energy going for both the models and the audiences. Over 70 fashions from 10 different companies graced this years runway! Spotify even had a spike in tags that day from the audience searching for the amazing mashup mixes we selected.

Now, as an exhibitor, we wanted to stand out from the crowd and be seen from all areas of the convention centers. So, we decided to build UP! Yes, we were the first two-story exhibit at a Today’s Bride bridal show.
The Today’s Bride Show Manager, Jennifer Fyffe, said it best:
“Rock The House, you set your own bar higher every year. This year was no exception. Not only did you win the Best Booth Award, you won Best-in-Show. Truly a show-stopper remembered by all!”
Oh, and the best part of it all? We’ve got it on video! Go ahead, check it out!

June 26th, 2015: A day that symbolizes the biggest civil rights victory for same-sex couples in U.S. history. In an unprecedented ruling, the United States Supreme Court extended the right for same-sex couples to marry in all 50 states. This landmark decision will bring the topic of same-sex marriage to the forefront of many conversations amongst friends, family and co-workers. Personally, this decision is something that I have been looking forward to for over 10 years.
This morning as I sat in my car and heard the news, I was unsure of how I would react. As someone who’s been blessed with being in a same-sex relationship for over 10 years, my partner and I have both been anticipating this day. I expected feelings of happiness and quite possibly a sense of relief, but I never imagined the outpour of emotions that would immediately follow. My eyes teared up as I thought about how all types of committed relationships now share the same basic right of marriage equality.
Now, while I understand there are many obstacles surrounding marriage equality and the access to basic human rights, I want to focus on something equally as important. Every loving couple, whether you are LGBTQ or straight, deserves to enjoy that one special day. They deserve that one special wedding; that one special song to gaze into each others eyes and proclaim in front of their loved ones and the State that they are committed to each other. “To have and to hold, in sickness and health, for rich or poor, in joy and sorrow, for as long as we both shall live”.
This is a triumphant day, not just for me, but for the Cleveland wedding industry! Working in this field for over 15 years, I have had the honor of performing at over 500 wedding receptions and have been a guest at numerous others. Being able to share in that special day in any capacity is a testament to the perseverance, dedication and true love between two people.
I am proud to stand up for equality; not just for LGBTQ wedding equality, but for everyone. I am proud of who I am and for what my partner and I have endured to have “that one moment”. I am proud to have made the decision to work for a company like Rock The House that not only embraces equality, but is on the forefront of welcoming ALL couples to our family… and has done so since it was founded in 1999.
It’s what we do. It’s what we’ve always done. Cleveland Wedding DJ Entertainment, Live Bands, Lighting, Photo booths, and Videography – We would be honored to help you plan your special day… The one you’ve been waiting a lifetime for.
Sincerely Yours,Nick Duve, Marketing Manager Rock The House Family of Companies
On Friday, April 17th, the who’s who of the local events industry congregated in Columbus, Ohio to celebrate the 4th Annual ISES Ohio WOW! Awards. Cameron Mitchell Premier Events hosted the assembly, and the Ivory Room of Downtown Columbus provided the illustrious setting. Representatives from more than 20 Ohio based event and entertainment groups and corporations were present.
ISES, which stands for the International Special Events Society, has a Cleveland chapter that’s been active since 2008. The 100 plus member organization hosts events throughout the year designed to help companies like Rock The House grow and expand their reach, all while giving back to the special events community.
“Our events have allowed our members to learn more about how to market their business in the 21st century, how to explore green and organic options for more sustainable events, how to accommodate different ethnic and cultural traditions into their events, what trends to watch for in the future, and so much more!” – ISESCleveland.com
Also, as with any business, ISES imparts the importance of networking and community outreach. With the multitude of representatives from like minded organizations always in attendance, these events provide a stage for just that. Representing Rock The House was Founder & CEO – Matt Radicelli, COO – Ryan Konikoff, and Executive Assistant to the CEO – Amy Van Duyne.
This year RTH proudly captured four WOW awards, including:
“It was a pleasure to hang out with other members from the ISES Columbus and ISES Cincinnati chapters, and we were proud to bring four awards home for ISES Cleveland!” – Amy Van Duyne of Rock The House
The ISES Event Volunteer Collaboration recognition was bestowed upon Rock The House and some of their associates for an event called ‘A Mammoth Night of Networking.’ Rock The House partnered with the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, Event Source, Solus Lighting and Executive Caterers to make that night a huge success.
Rock The House also expresses a special congratulations to our sister company, Zone Entertainment, who came home with three additional WOW awards!
Over the years Rock The House has impressively collected 13 total ISES Ohio WOW! Awards. With the company rapidly growing, it doesn’t appear they’ll be slowing down anytime soon.
Thanks to Corey Ann Photography, one of the weddings we worked on last fall (Amanda & Matt’s) made it into The Knot’s Real Wedding section! These beautiful photos must have really impressed the editors. For example:
This red and black wedding was very stylized. Between Corey Ann’s amazing art and our lighting this was the perfect couple to feature in The Knot’s Real Weddings. In addition to our uplights and lighting design, our MC / DJ Entertainment team made sure this reception ROCKED!
Here’s the cover and the article.
Check out more of Corey Ann’s beautiful photos from this exceptional Wedding Reception. In addition, these additional Wedding Reception Vendors contributed to this well received wedding:
SummaCare donated money to help give the University of Akron this world class stadium and now their employees get to spend a summer evening at the venue to celebrate a successful year. In addition to entertainment and food, guests had the chance to have their photo taken with our Green Screen Photo Magic. Our technician made the whole experience that much more fun by guiding the guests and giving them suggestions for the photos. June 19, 2012 was the first day of the City of Oakwood Village‘s DJ Bootcamp with Rock The House Entertainment. Our full-time entertainment lead, Eli, is teaching a group of 9 to 12 year olds from Oakwood Village the basics of DJing for a live event. Every week, the students who signed up for this camp will learn techniques Rock The House DJs use at each event. We were thrilled with this group because each attendee had a real interest in DJing. They had a great passion for music and were really paying attention. Often, with kids of this age, you would expect them to be looking at their cellphones but they came to really learn.
Eli instructed the students how to work as a team by matching sound levels. He also gave them a new perspective on DJ equipment. They began to understand that the DJ rig is more like an instrument than just an iPod and speakers. They picked that up when they had to transition between songs and monitor their levels. Graduates of this program will go on to DJ the camp’s August 10th Dance for all the students participating in the various activities provided by Oakwood Village. We were happy to help Mayor Gary V Gottschalk when he asked us to participate in this summer camp. Our company loves our community and being able to give back while also sparking passion in potential future entertainers is the perfect way to show it.
Cleveland Lighting DJs at The Renaissance rock out for Brecksville/Broadview Heights in downtown Cleveland. The Rock The House DJ / MC team brought unparalleled entertainment to B/BH’s prom. Our DJs are trained to read the crowd and have a musical expertise that could keep you moving all night! These guys know music of all kinds and they knew what this group of high schoolers would dance to. Our Emcee had every student on the floor for hours! There were no wall flowers in Cleveland on this night. They coordinated with all the other prom professionals to make a special evening. They ensured that everyone was able to relax and get loose for this event.
School dances are a Rock The House specialty. Our Emcee proclaimed the Prom Court, King, and Queen. The royal party then was led to dance by the King and Queen. Rock The House green screen Photo Magic provided photo novelties for the students to take home. Funny hats, glasses, etc. were given to the students to make as goofy a photo as they wanted! Rock The House Entertainment has been the leading entertainment provider for school dances in Northeast Ohio for over a decade. Let us show you what we can do for your next school dance – www.RTHgroup.com
