May 22nd will feature the first of what we hope to be an annual softball match-up: Rock The House Entertainment vs. Jerry Bruno Productions. Both event entertainment companies share a friendly relationship that will make this game all the more fun. President of Jerry Bruno Productions, Scott Jones, has been asking his industry friends in the “Taco Tuesdays Group” to attend the game as spectators. Likewise, members of the Rock The House team have contacted our fellow ISES (International Special Events Society) members to come and root for their favorite team.
Anyone is welcome to attend. Admission is simply one (or more if you’d like) canned food item. We will be donating all items to the Cleveland Foodbank. The game will begin at 6:00 PM at Winik Field located in Valley View Woods (13005 Schreiber Rd. Valley View, Ohio 44125). Anyone is welcome to bring food and drinks to this pot-luck game.

Rock The House Entertainment is rolling out a formal Team Member of The Month program coming out of our 2012 All Staff Meeting this April. That meant that management was faced with setting a precedent and prototype for this honor. What a relief it was for us to have just the person…Ernie Scales.
Head of Human Resources at Rock The House, Ryan Konikoff said:
“Selecting Ernie was an easy choice. So far, he holds the lead for the most requests in 2012 by clients. Every MC always asks to have him on their events, and he lives the idea of leading by example. Ernie takes dance classes in his free time to learn all different types of dance that may help him as a RTH dancer, he always has a smile on his face, and you can tell he just really love the job”
In the year and a half that Ernie has been with us, he has shown a eagerness to learn, consistency, drive, and character . This isn’t even mentioning his amazing skills! Don’t just take our word for it! He made it farther than hundreds of other competitive dancers at the 2012 “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 9 try outs in Los Angeles. You can read more about that fascinating experience here.
Ernie says it best:
“What makes me a unique dancer is my passion. I use dancing to describe who I am and how I feel. I basically use dance to let people see my true personality. I live for dance and I dance to live. What makes a dancer unique is not about their moves it’s about heart.”
When we told Ernie he was selected to be the Team Member of the month he was grateful. He then told us he didn’t feel like he was a member of a team, however. To him, he’s a member of a family. We could’t agree more!
Rock The House is really excited to come back from Columbus to our office in Cleveland with our ISES Wow Award for Best Meeting or Conference over 100K. Rock The House was nominated for State Chemical‘s 100th Anniversary Conference and Events from November 2011.
Watch this video to see highlights from our ISES WOW win in Columbus, Ohio:
The State Chemical Anniversary weekend had a lot of components and involved every division of the company. In addition to the Videography division’s many important contributions, the lighting division was all over this event! Creating effects in a variety of rooms in two different divisions, this event had a large-scale production feel without overwhelming the guests. Uplights, gobo company logos, stage lighting, andpinspotting were all being controlled by our lighting designer who was orchestrating the atmosphere. The DJ / MC Entertainment and Photo Booth Divisions also played big roles in this grand affair. One highlight of the event was this Glee themed opening session video:

No one knows how to party like party makers, That said, no one is more critical of events they attend, either. Knowing about that double-edged sword L’Nique was able to put on a perfect event for those with the most discriminating tastes. March 22nd, 2012 was the annual open house for the event linen company, L’Nique. One of the secrets to the success of this event is – collaboration. A number of the best creative event designers were asked to take part in creating this unique and very looked forward to annual event. Everyone had their own area to design and make their own but it all still fit within the overall feeling of the event.
Check out this video wrap-up of the event:
L’Nique’ 2012 Fete Open House Event from RTH Multimedia on Vimeo.
Rock The House had the pre and post event tent space to design. Our lighting set the mood for two distinctly different vibes. The pre-event time was one of networking, hors d’oeuvres, and signature cocktails. What really told people they were at something special was the live performance by one of the region’s most sought after live bands, Run Avril Run.
The next stage of the event was located in L’Nique’s warehouse. Every once in a while you would see something that would remind you that this was in a working warehouse. Most of the time, however, guests were almost overwhelmed with all the inspiration. Different designers brought their A-Game in a collaborative and healthy competition. It’s what drives true stars in our industry to create memorable and original works of art.
Following the innovative design-scapes of the warehouse, guests let their hair down and hit the dance floor in a transformed tent area and dance floor. Rock The House provided a club-like atmosphere for a group ready to ROCK on the dance floor. The bar has been raised once again for this event and we are happy to have been asked to be a part of this special event.

Rock The House dancers had a great time with many of the kids attending the game. Our Rock The House stage on The Q concourse had dozens of kids of all ages dancing, singing, and having a great time between periods of the game. Our DJs, MCs, anddancers were able to both have fun and show off their skills.
Another reason everyone at Rock The House looks forward to Pink The Rink is that the entire team is welcome to attend the event with their families. We had over 100 tickets and that’s one big group! One of our sections was even on the Q-Tube Score Board.
Rock The House also was retweeted on the Q-Tube with this tweet:

Known throughout the Northeast Ohio region as the premier event entertainers with their DJ / MC division. Rock The House Entertainment Group is far more than entertainers, however. This event is a great example of all the divisions working together on a memorable party.
The lighting division took center stage for this Simcha with uplights, gobo monograms, pin spotting, dance floor lighting, and more all coordinated by our on-site lighting designer. This helped create a club-like setting for this basketball themed event.
