Rock The House Entertainment has been a supporter of the SEARCH Foundation for years. For the next two years, our commitment will be stronger and more formal with the inclusion of our Marketing and Communication Director, Nick Borelli, to this national non-profit’s board of directors. Nick has been asked to be Chair of the Public Relations Committee for a two year term.

The Search Foundation supports event professionals in crisis as well as educational initiatives that benefit the industry as a whole. From relief from natural disasters, medical issues that impact key members of companies, or the distribution of information that will elevate us all, SEARCH has been the difference in many companies survival. Giving back to the industry we’ve been involved in for the majority of our lives is at the very heart of the goals of Rock The House. We’ve been very blessed with a level of success that has allowed us the privileged opportunity to help others. SEARCH’s mission will benefit from our continued involvement by increasing awareness of their mission and promoting SEARCH sponsored events.

November Team Member of the Month: Ryan Durfee

Taking Production To The Next Level

djs lighting team member

Our Team Member of the Month for November is Ryan Durfee who has been with Rock The House for the last 9 months. Ryan was hired as a production manager and has quickly made a large impact on Rock The House. His commitment to productivity is shown in how he uses his time in the shop. If Ryan has 15 minutes between appointments he will use every minute to work on something in the shop until the meeting begins. He’s always working!

Ryan was selected by the staff and management for the Team Member of the Month because he came on board and immediately worked on implementing our new inventory system while managing and training a staff during our busy wedding season. Taking on a big project while managing a team during a peak season and coming out on the other end is a pretty impressive accomplishment and Ryan did just that.

Creative & Talent Director, Ryan Konikoff has this to say about Ryan Durfee’s efforts thus far:

“He is very organized and has taken important steps to keep the shop just as organized. He is just as creative, however,  and can design and operate with the best of them onsite. Finally, and MOST importantly, Durfee never forgets that our clients are our bosses. Ryan is always willing to go the extra mile to make sure we can achive last min requests, events, and changes.”

One of Ryan Durfee’s first decisions was making sure that there was always a production staff team member at the shop to see each show back at the end of each busy night. This often means the staff member is here until 4 or 5 AM. For the first month, Ryan made sure he was that staff member in order to create the systems needed for this initiative to succeed.

Ryan Durfee’s own words are the reason why he is one of the most important asset of Rock The House’s future:

“I enjoy enjoy most that I am a part of every event. At some point, I touch every event and have a chance to keep our best foot forward by my thoughts and observations. Seeing or hearing positive reports from our clients is the best way to tell that we have been successful.”

6th Annual Event Planner Showcase

On November 4th, 2012 Cleveland area companies and families had a chance to check out some of the best event industry vendors in the region once again at Simchapalooza. This event was free for guests and raises money for the Greater Cleveland Chapter of Hadassah. Organized by Sherri Foxman’s Party 411 Events and the Cleveland Jewish News and sponsored by Rock The House Entertainment, this year’s event drew over 800 guests to Signature of Solon.

Rock The House had a blast in our entertainment room!

The chance for our MC, DJ, and dancers to interact with attendees young and old is something we look forward to each year. This 20 second clip shows that everyone was invited to dance!

This event had a lot of great interactive elements that elevated the event beyond a trade show. Our sales team was really impressed with our prospective clients who were willing to come to this event specifically to book Rock The House for their upcoming events. The word is out on this event in the community!

Raising money for Hadassah is important to us and one of the main reasons we have an elevated level of participation at this event. Founder/Owner of Rock The House, Matt Radicelli had this to say about the event:

“It’s always a pleasure to help raise money for Hadassah and working with Sherri Foxman and the CJN. The community’s served us well.”
